Description
Players control a spaceman named Captain Olimar who has crash-landed on an unusual planet. The goal of the game is to help Olimar collect his vessel's lost parts, which have been scattered all over the planet. Luckily for Captain Olimar, the planet is inhabited by strange little creatures, called Pikmin. Pikmin are plant-like life forms that come in three different colours red, yellow and blue. Each type of Pikmin has unique strengths, which Olimar must use to his advantage. Red Pikmin can withstand fire, blue Pikmin can survive in water, while yellow Pikmin can destroy obstacles by using bomb-rocks. Players can control the Pikmin sprouts individually, in groups, or in one large Pikmin posse of 100 creatures. Pikmin on Wii will allow users to utilise all new controls when playing this GameCube favourite, and offering a more complete experience on the Wii. The New Play Controls have made this version of Pikmin more accessible and tighter, with the most notable difference being that Captain Olimar is now controlled with the Nunchuk's Analogue Stick while the cursor is moved with the Wii Remote's pointer. The player's goal is to use the Pikmin to locate the 30 different parts of the Dolphin and carry them back to the spaceship to repair it so that Olimar can return home. The catch is that this task must be accomplished within 30 in-game days The Wii Remote pointer is used is used to control the on-screen cursor, which directs where Olimar sends Pikmin as well as where he aims the sound of his whistle The A Button has several functions:It allows Olimar to interact with an Onion (to put in or take outPikmin) or with the Dolphin (to check the ship's status and to repair his space suit). When next to a part of the Dolphin, pressing the A Button yields information on the part. If Olimar is near Pikmin embedded in the ground, pressing the A Button will make Olimar pull the Pikmin out. Most often the A Button will be used to grab Pikmin underOlimar's direct command. When the A Button is released Olima
