Description
Aliens: Colonial Marines is the eagerly awaited first person shooter game that will bring the classic and revolutionary science fiction legacy back to life. Every character and creature that you will encounter throughout has been based upon what the Alien franchise has brought you before now, truly doing the saga justice with this authentic gaming experience. You are part of a search and rescue team sent to investigate the USS Sulaco in search of Ellen Ripley, Corporal Dwayne Hicks, and the other missing marines who had been sent to LV-426. You control your team which is comprised of four Colonial marines, each with their own unique personality, primary weapon, and abilities. You can easily issue orders at any time, as well as switch between each marine to fully utilise all of their capabilities, which cover engineering, medical, and more. After boarding the craft you discover the horrific fate that the previous crew had suffered. Your only mission now is to keep yourself and your crew alive, as with every step you take you are being targeted by possibly the most vicious and deadly species in the universe. Classic Alien weaponry and equipment such as the flame thrower and the motion tracker, as well as a wide variety of other artillery including pulse rifles, smart guns, and even grenades, are now your only hope of survival against various types of Alien. These types are based on the legendary and well known types you have seen before in the films such as the Face Huggers, which will attach themselves to the player's facer and set off a quick time event, truly defining the panicky action you will experience throughout. There are also Warriors, which are your primary enemies, Runners who are the most swift out of all and spy on your activities, and there are also the Drones, who carry and position Queen eggs. Then there is the Queen herself, who you will take on in one to one combat in an intense, adrenaline packed boss battle. Should you tire of single player campaign, there is also a drop in drop out multiplayer
