So named after the Premier express train which runs between Belfast and Dublin, Irish Enterprise North is the first of a two-part product which will feature the whole of this busy line. Part One features the fifty-five mile north-side journey running from Belfast to Dundalk. Set during the 1995 to 2005 period and featuring the upgrades made to the route during 1998-99 such as the introduction of 90mph operation, welded rails, colour light signalling and central train control, the Belfast to Dublin route is served by a variety of diesel and multiple unit type trains ranging from the British built Mk2 air conditioned stock to the French built De Dietrich ‘Enterprise’ stock based on the “Eurostar†coach design. Locomotives featured are from the US built by General Motors. A variety of multiple unit designs also feature including the venerable BR built Diesel Electric Mk2 units. As well as fast locomotive hauled passenger trains, commuter services are included as are cross border freight services. Also features twenty challenging activities of varying degrees of difficulty.
