Description

Watch an arrival of a 'triple-seven'; the faces of those about to board. No Mediterranean holiday bus this but transport to the far side of the world. Like a caravan across the desert this aircraft can traverse vast distances and unlike its four-engined stable mate - does not include the camel's hump! This is a machine of beauty. The Boeing 777 represents a huge investment by Boeing and can truly be described as their glass-cockpit flagship. Like a number of trans-oceanic Airbus the 777 is an aircraft that has known controversy. Some still question ETOPS (Extended-Range Twin Operations) and it is true that oceanic flight paths do differ from that of four-engined equivalents... but worry not! A single one of the 777s incredible turbofans delivers more thrust than all four of a 707's combined! The 777 is astonishing. With a range of nearly 9 500 miles it can fly at 43 000ft and - in the 200 variant as simulated here - carry over 300 passengers in wide-body luxury. Whichever of the many airlines you select this 777 simulation for FSX and FS2004 is a beauty. Complete with High Resolution 32-bit textures representing a wide variety of carriers the easy to use paint-kit also allows simple generation of additional liveries where desired. The animations include hydraulic suspension flaps slats spoilerons speed brakes thrust reversers PAX/cargo doors and detailed gear sequencing. In the FS2004 implementation flexible wings respond to real aeronautical variable... in turbulence the wing will clearly bounce up and down! The aircraft is also expertly optimised and frame rate friendly.
