Description
World in Conflict (WIC) is a tactical strategy game from Sierra's Massive Entertainment studio that asks the question: What if the Cold War didn't end? Pitting the era's superpowers against one another with destructible 3D battlefields, staggering visuals utilising DX10 technology, and a gameplay mechanism which removes traditional resource-gathering and base-building in favour of all-out combat, tactical decisions and a penchant for intense action, WIC is a whole world away from the competition in ambition and scope. WIC charges you to command of a number of units on a large scale map. Battles in WIC take place in various locations, far away from military bases and construction sites. It is 1989 (okay!) and a soviet-led army has launched a surprise attack on Europe and the USA. In a chillingly plausible single-player campaign, you can fight on the frontlines of real-life towns and cities in the USA, USSR and the rest of Europe. You can attain full command of four different battlefield roles - Air, Armour, Infantry and Support - in the ultimate online team-based multiplayer experience too.
