Description
Each of DJ's classmates are tasked with bringing in their projects to exhibit at the fair, but one of them manages to unlock a demonic portal that causes the school to turn into a hellish version of itself, with an invasion of monsters and fellow pupil's kidnapped leaving only one person able to save the day - Death Jr. himself. The mix of traditional platform sections and 3D graphics, as well as the intuitive control system gives Death Jr. and the Science Fair of Doom a fresh new feel for the series. DJ can use his trusty scythe to not only attack foes and string together combo attacks, but also use it to hook onto hard to reach ledges and hoist himself up to access new parts of the levels. Players using the stylus and touch screen to attack enemies will find an even greater range of freedom during combat. Exploring and disposing of all of the enemies in your way is a must as certain foes release their souls you need to keep and use to access later stages. Some old favourites from previous Death Jr. games have made it to this version, with weapons like the C4 Hamsters surviving to fight more battles with you! Indeed, the aforementioned Hamsters are used in one of the multiplayer games, playable through the Nintendo Wireless Connection and add another element to the longevity of the title, offering up to four players the chance to battle each other depending on the game chosen.
