As the owner of your own restaurant, you need to take care of every aspect of the daily operation including furnishing/decorating the restaurant,hiring staff,putting together the menu and even creating your own receipes. As your business succeeds you can sell your restaurant and buy something bigger and better. You then need to build up your new restuarant  from scratch. Deciding the style and menu is an important factor of the game ie Chinese, French, Italian style etc .Are you targetting the fast food end of the market or going for Lobster and caviar. There are 2 mini games where you can take on the role of chef and enter a cooking competition to earn awards, money and reputation. In the second mini game you must pick out the best quality ingredients for your restaurant within time limits. The ingredients may have a different colour tone, shape, too big/small etc ie Meat: (displayed as a big ham) for the best quality it has to be bright red. the redder the better and the more fat it has the worse it is. If it is oddly shaped or speckled or has a large bone in it then it is of lesser quality. Obviously the better ingredients used in your restuaurant the better your restaurant will be.
